The Meet the Brontes day at West Lane Baptist church has yet more afternoon events to offer visitors

The costume displays will now include  original Smith and Elder copies of Bronte works ,,scripts from a Bronte Christmas Carol many more original items of  Victorian costume , replica  clothing for visitors to try on , More of Hathaways original  costumes and several items from  Bronte theatrical productions and Victorian TV costumed productions.

The refreshments will now include Belgium gingerbread and locally baked biscuits ,a great chance for adults to relax with a hot drink  while  looking a unusual and interesting Bronte displays and for parents to relax while their kids have fun and learn .

The activities for Children which will be a major part of the event will run from 1.30 onwards to 4 pm  and now include a chance to dress up in Victorian hats etc  and of course there’s the chance to make Victorian style Christmas cards and use the dip pens and seals

Adults will have a further chance to view the displays ,talks to  some of the evenings speakers and have a drink of hot mulled Scandinavian “wine” from 4 pm until 5.30
